Not only does the Garden Route offer an abundance of fishing opportunity for conventional anglers, it offers something unique and special for fly fishermen. Swartvlei and Knysna have become more well known in the eyes of fly fishermen the last few years, but the Touw River has remained very underrated. In the right conditions, the Touw will offer some of the best sight fishing for Grunter that you can do in the Garden Route.

That is why we’ve designed a single angler, shallow water skiff featuring a polling platform for this system. Nothing beats the stealthy approach of polling in shallow water, allowing you as the angler the very best shot at hooking that Grunter. But the Touw boast an abundance of species including Garrick, Cob and Shad, thus allowing you to target different species in deeper water while your guide positions you using a trolling motor.
